The visitor visa fee Australia will depend on which type of visitor visa you apply for. 

There are three types of Australian visitor visa fees  – your eligibility for the below visa types will depend on the country of your passport.

The Australia visitor visa application fees are (as of 28 January 2023):

A separate fee must be paid for each applicant – including children – and every person must have their own visa to enter Australia.

Note: the Visa Application Charge (VAC) is not a fee to receive a visa, but to make the application. If your visa application is not successful you will not receive a refund from the Government. If the visa is delayed and granted too late for your visit, you will also not receive a refund – so make sure you allow plenty of time and submit a complete application the first time to avoid any delays!

If you apply for the Sponsored Family Stream of the Visitor Visa (Subclass 600), your sponsor may also be required to pay a bond (this is determined on a case-by-case basis). The bond is an amount of money that is held by the Government as a surety, and refunded when the visa holder leaves Australia.
